Defining Identity Essay -- Personal Narrative, Identity Essays

There are millions of actors line across the globe that are used to describe people and produce their identity operator, but what is identity? How can you begin to describe well-nighthing that varies so greatly from champion human being to another? Can you create a universal meaning for a backchat describing human concepts that people oft fail to touch on for themselves? Of course there isnt star commentary to define such a word. It is an intricate aspect of human nature, and it has a description just as complex.Websters dictionary describes identity as sameness of natural character, individuality, or the fact of being the same soulfulness as one claims to be. So your identity can include your name, your age, your job title, or exactly characteristics of your body. These things are facts, facts you dont care to share with the human. Just as the word suggests your identity is something by which you can be identified. These are things that describe a psyche in terms a stranger would understand. This area of identity is deduction of who you are. However, your identity is also composed of what you are. They mark your role in society. Who you are and what you do make up your identity. This is essential in the human biography span because people are always searching to find where they really belong in the world. Obviously a word that has such a deep meaning can?t induct a alter definition. The other component of identity is one?s personality. Your thoughts, emotions, and attitudes also have a huge impact on your identity. This part is not something the world can hold to be true, but something you whop to be true. This arrogate of your identity is not something that you have passively acquired, it is something you have experienced and make upon by... ...can go through an entire lifetime and not really turn in how to define their own identity. In many cases people suffer through a great crisis to discover who they really are . If someone doesn?t know the meaning of their own identity, how can society apply a definition to the word? It leaves people to ponder whether or not there are some feelings and parts of life that simply cannot be explained. When defining the word identity scholars and common men alike must agree to disagree. It is a word so diverse in context that it is seemingly insufferable to take it down to a simplified definition. There are some things in life that just aren?t meant to be completely understood, and one?s identity is among these things. Not until a person has a lived bug out their live could they sit down and tell you how their adventure has shaped them into the person they became in the end.
